Smart Tracking Transceiver (STT)
A network of Smart Tracking Transceivers can be used to create a a local positioning system (LPS), analogous to GPS that can be used in markets including the military, heavy equipment, first responder and factory automation. The LPS developed by Dataspeed can fill those gaps in localization not being met by GPS. This includes the ability to determine the position and orientation of personnel (first responder) or vehicles (factory automation) inside buildings. Additionally, the LPS can be used to help navigate mobile robots outside (military) as well as provide situational awareness for large vehicles used in industries including mining or rail (heavy equipment).
SmartIMU
The Dataspeed SmartIMU utilizes the latest developments in GPS and MEMS technology to deliver a highly accurate solution for determining absolute positioning and spatial orientation of your vehicle. Advanced Kalman estimation techniques are used to implement a 6 DOF inertial measurement unit. Onboard datalogging enables storage of key parameters such as linear and angular positions and velocities. Communication with the SmartIMU done through a USB or CAN connection.
Throttle-By-Wire Interface Kit
This interface kit enables computer control of the throttle system in a safe and effective manner. This plug-in ready kit requires no modification to the factory harnessing and can be installed in minutes. Industry standard CAN and USB networks enable control and monitoring of the throttle system. The kit includes the controller, custom harness and PC software drivers to interface to dSpace or NI Labview. This kit has the following features:

  • Installation can be completed in minutes, just unplug the factory harness from the accel pedal assembly and replug into the supplied kit harness.
  • Additive throttle effort from computer enables seemless driver override.
  • Can be used in conjunction with brake by-wire interface kit to perform singletap disable of function.
  • Electrically isolated between the computer and the vehicle electrical system ensures no transmission of electrical noise between systems.
  • Robust design enabling fail-safe operation in the event of a hardware fault condition.
  • No loss of driver initiated throttle commands if computer power is lost.

Shift-By-Wire Interface Kit
This interface kit enables monitoring and reporting of the shifter position. The supplied sensor and bracket easily bolts to the existing transaxle, with the shifter cable attached to the sensor. This kit, along with installation of your own actuator enables by-wire control of the transmission. requires no modification to the factory harnessing and can be installed in minutes. Industry standard CAN and USB networks enable monitoring of the shifter position. The kit includes the controller, shifter position sensor and bracket and PC software drivers to interface to dSpace or NI Labview. This kit has the following features:

  • Installation can be completed in minutes, just remove the shifter cable from the transmission, attach the sensor and bracket and reattach cable to the sensor.
  • Enables monitoring of the shifter position.
  • Used in conjunction with user supplied actuator for control of the transmission position.
  • Internal SD card for datalogging of CAN messages.
  • Sensor power short circuit protected with diagnostic reporting status.
  • No loss of driver initiated throttle commands if computer power is lost.

This interface kit enables computer control of the braking system in a safe and effective manner. The kit includes the controller, custom harness and PC software drivers to interface to dSpace or NI Labview. This kit has the following features:

  • Installation can be completed in minutes, just unplug the factory harness from the pedal assembly and replug into the supplied kit harness.
  • Additive braking effort from computer enables seemless driver override.
  • Can be used in conjunction with throttle by-wire interface kit to perform singletap disable of function.
  • Electrically isolated between the computer and the vehicle electrical system ensures no transmission of electrical noise between systems.
